We have tried to make the costs of using Hourbikes as straightforward, and as low as possible to encourage their use. There are two fees to pay :

A one-off registration fee of £10 for which you will receive your Hourbike smart card. If you do lose your card we can replace it for you for an additional charge of £5. And rental fees whenever you remove a bike. The first 30 minutes are free and thereafter the charge is £1 per hour or part hour. If you use a bike for a one-way trip, and don?t bring one back to the same location within a day there is also a surcharge of £1 to help cover the costs of us moving the bikes to where they are needed. The system works in using the credits that you have purchased. £1 buys 1 credit (or slightly more if you purchase a higher number of credits).

* The rental time is the time you remove a bike, to the time you return a bike to an Hourbike HUB, or call us to terminate your hire if the HUB is full (which we can confirm online).

If you use a bike for a one way journey only, your account will be debited 1 credit after 24 hrs.
